SIERRA FASHIONS CREATE B.U.M. APPAREL FOR SPRING 2011
For Spring 2011, Sierra Fashions will take on a very exciting endeavor. They have secured three licenses for B.U.M. Equipment: Young Men’s, Juniors and Boys Apparel. Sierra, founded in 1993 by Sandy Sharma, CEO, Sierra Fashions has launched key licenses in the past including: Mecca Femme, Andrew Fezza Sportswear and its own Dollz and Legendary Couture brands. They cater to mid-tier department and specialty stores.
The new direction for B.U.M. Equipment will encompass a complete lifestyle collection of woven and knitted tops and bottoms including some specialized denim pieces all paying homage to its’ original West Coast roots paired with a more streetwear edge. Sandy Sharma, owner and CEO of Sierra Fashions explains, “I wanted B.U.M. Equipment to speak to a whole new generation that was never exposed to the original B.U.M. brand in the past.” Sharma also remarked, “The reception of the return of B.U.M. has been extremely positive and buyers are eager to see the new face of a brand they all remember as being a profitable force to be reckoned with. The Buyers and Retail Management all loved B.U.M as a key brand for them and now think it is a perfect time to relaunch it again to their current customer base."
Men’s key fashion items will include embellished vintage washed tees, worn-out rugby polo’s, woven’s with frayed patching, slim fit denim with abrasions, and active inspired fleece and cargo shorts. Essential to the look of the brand are soft washed fabrics, appliqués, and innovative finishes. (See attached images)
In Juniors, look for whimsical chambray dresses, maxis, rompers, jumpers, novelty denim, fun woven’s, flirty knitwear and soft citrus active components. (See attached images)
B.U.M. Equipment production will take place in China, India and Viet Nam for the initial launch.
When asked about the challenge of re-launching a brand that was all the rage in the 80’s and then again in the late 90’s, Sharma replied, “There is a pretty simple formula for bringing back a brand such as B.U.M...give them trend right product at great prices while constantly exploring new avenues in design and textiles to create buzz and excitement.”

GELATI INTERNATIONAL LAUNCHES B.U.M. UNDERWEAR APRIL 2011
Gelati International is pleased to be adding B.U.M. Equipment to its list of licensed brands for Men’s & Boys Underwear and Thermals for Spring 2011. Founded 8 years ago, Gelati has had success with character licenses such as Popeye, Heathcliff and Speed Racer.
Ike Franco, owner of Gelati International remarked, “With B.U.M. Equipment, although it hasn't been active for sometime in our category, I feel that buyers still have good name recognition and have voiced a great desire to try it .”
Gelati is planning to focus on mid-tier department stores for the B.U.M. Equipment brand targeting Dillards and other department stores for first round test orders. Sales are estimated to hit $2 to 3 million in 2011, starting with the line being ready by April 2011.
The main items offered will be all types of packaged men’s and boys boxer shorts, briefs, boxer briefs, undershirts and thermals.

B.U.M. LAUNCHES MASTER LICENSE IN MEXICO WITH STYLOS Y SHOW S.A. INTERNATIONAL
Stylos Y Show S.A. de C.V. has the licenses for Phat Farm, Baby Phat, Arrow, Members Only and many other brands and is an expert in developing Master Licenses for Mexico and other countries throughout the world. Stephen Wayne, CEO of Bum Equipment LLC exclaimed, "We are looking forward to a very good relationship with the management headed up by Mr. Moises Tawil. The Tawil family is one of the most respected families in Mexico and will be a formidable force to launch Bum Equipment in Mexico. Billboard and New Ads released in time for the Election and League Championships
Bum Equipment LLC and Culture Apparel, the newest Licensee for Mens and Ladies Apparel are proud to announce that they have launched a new ad campaign to coordinate with the Holiday and Election Season . The Newest Shots were taken at Milk Studios in New York City's Cheslea area. The new campaign incorporate some of Culture's hottest selling T Shirts which have tag lines that poke fun at the candidates like Sarah Palin and combine the hottest selling fits and silhouettes and have been some of the hottest selling items at Yellow Rat Bastard Stores in downtown Soho.
Bum's new ad campaign features female rapper Misfit and other models utilizng their new edgier approach that have retailer's wagging their tongues at the New Bum Equipment Lines being offered by Culture Apparel.The new ad campaign will debut in Time Square starting November 3rd just in time for the election on one of Times Square newest Electronic Billboards on the corner of 46 and 47th and Broadway. This location is right in front of the new Tickets Booth which incorporates a new seating area for tourists to sit on while waiting on line for their tickets to all the Broadway shows. and Yellow Rat Bastard's Soho location will be tagged as well in the ads. Mayor Mike Bloomberg will be cutting the ribbon this week to kick off the launch of this newest tourist attraction . The campaign will the be rolled out to be used in other outdoor billboards and consumer magazines beginning in Spring and Post Season Major league Baseball Programs. LAUNCHES FALL 2008 AD CAMPAIGN
In Time for Final All Star Game at Yankee Stadium
July 9, 2008 (New York, NY) --- Stephen Wayne, Chairman, and Steve Marra, Vice Chairman, of Bum Equipment are pleased to announce the kickoff of their new B.U.M. Equipment Fall Ad Campaign coinciding with Major League Baseball’s 79th Annual All Star Game next week in NYC.
Bum Equipment launches a brand new ad campaign for 2008/2009 next week to debut in conjunction with the 79th Annual All Star Game and Activities that will take place at Yankee Stadium in New York next Tuesday, July 15th. “The audience exposure to a diverse demographic international group is great for the B.U.M. brand,” remarks Stephen Wayne.
B.U.M Equipment’s newest ads were shot in June at Chelsea Milk Studios in New York City. They feature “MISFIT” (www.misfit.uk.com & www.myspace.com/misfitdior), female British rapper of the VH1 “White Rapper Show”. Being that she is not the average rapper, one of her mentors coined her the “Misfit”. The recording industry calls her a strong, sexy independent talent with a swagger like no other. Her British accent adds to the mystique for this now Brooklyn based babe. Misfit loves fashion and was pleased to participate in the B.U.M campaign. The ads also include shots with models, Jody Carlson and Kalefe Williams.
The new ads will appear first in the 2008 All Star Game Program at Yankee Stadium and released to coincide with all the activities surrounding All Star Weekend. This is the “Final Season” in the old Yankee Stadium which is being torn down at the end of this season before the Yankees move to their new digs across the street. The new campaign will be followed up with other shots that will be appearing in consumer fashion and lifestyle magazines targeted to both the contemporary man and contemporary woman for the Fall and 4th Quarter. Expenditures are planned at $500,000 beginning in July. The campaign will include, both consumer and trade advertising. Attention-getting outdoor billboards in Time Square will showcase the B.U.M. Equipment brand. Also B.U.M. ads will appear in all the post season Major League Programs including the Divisional Playoffs and League Championships and World Series.
Stephen Wayne, Chairman of the Board of Bum Equipment LLC made the following comments about the new B.U.M Ads, "The new campaign features the newest products launched recently under the "Bum Heritage" moniker. This collection is aimed at the better market offered only to Better Department Stores and Better Specialty Stores which have an edgier taste level ".

Ladies and Gentlemen: We are proud to introduce you to our newest Billboard Creative that will be shown in Times Square on the Toys R Us Billboard. This will run from November 1st 2007 thru January 2008.The Theme is "Vintage BUM". There are two separate Boards one facing Broadway and North and one facing south on Broadway. The format we are sending this to you is in Low Resolution when the ad appears it will of course be in high resolution since it will be 1000 times larger. New Ad Campaign
We are proud to announce that we have started to work on a new ad campaign that will kick off for Holiday 2007 and have begun to purchase time and media to show it off. It will kickoff in Times Square where we have purchased a substantial block of time on the Toys R Us Main Store in the middle of Times Square. We negotiated a great situation to be featured on their own sign that is right in front of their flagship store during the busiest time of the year. The spot will run 4 times every hours 24 hours a day from November 5th thru January 1st. This will be incredible as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade gets featured TV coverage on that corner as well for the prestigious New Years Eve Party held every year in Times Square. This Corner is where the Dick Clark Show Cameras aim at most of the night. So we are indeed very happy with this great launch. For those of you that know the Toys R Us Store they have sold us basically their own sign to be viewed that faces North South and West. We will keep you up to date and show you the 30 second Spot that we can use all over the country or on TV when it is completed. Looks like a great way to end the year and bring in the new one.

BRANDS GROUP, an international brands management company
based in Singapore with additional international offices. There
responsibility is to develop and maintain a complete BUM Equipment
Licensing Program for the territories of Korea, Japan, China,
Hong Kong, Macao, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand
and India. Neal Rudge of Global Brands is overseeing the
new venture and brand rollout across broader Asia from India
to Japan to Australia. Stephen Wayne commenting optimistically
about this new affiliation for the Bum brand says, “I am
very confident of this new collaboration. Neal Rudge and his
Global Brands Group bring a totally new perspective, knowledge
and competence to rolling out our Bum brand in the Far East and
beyond. We have very high expectations for this venture.”
When asked what attracted Rudge to the BUM brand whose company
also represents Sports & Entertainment brands FIFA, Warner
Bros. and PGA Tour among others, he says, “Bum Equipment

that, many of us remember it fondly from our youth, and remember

Carol Tan of Global Brands Group shares information on the first
license they have signed for Bum Equipment for underwear. The
new licensee for underwear is PT RICKY PUTRA GLOBALINDO
Tbk located in Jakarta, Indonesia. Their factory
consisting of 3000 workers is located in Bogor, about two hours
from Jakarta. Additionally, they have a mill factory with
1000 workers in Banduing.
The Indonesian underwear licensee started its own men’s
underwear line, GT MAN TWENTY, three years ago and have already
achieved a 40% market share in Indonesia. According to
Tan, “The company recognized that Bum Equipment is a classic
brand that is synonymous with offering the highest quality and
attention to detail for all of its merchandise.”
The main distribution channels will be to the modern trade such
as department stores (60 stores), hypermarkets (40 stores) and
supermarkets (50 stores). The retail price
will range from $7.00 - $15.00 USD. The 2007 Bum Equipment
underwear collections will be geared towards creating a combination
of both classic and fashionable items with high emphasis on stylish,
comfort and quality wear. Manufacturing of the Bum brand
will be in their Bogor factory and the release date is scheduled
for May 2007.
“Quality and comfort should be the key for Bum Equipment
underwear and we hope to target to affluent, educated, articulate
and fashion conscious males who are also into sports and leading
a healthy lifestyle,” states Carol Tan of Global Brands
BUM Equipment operates more than a dozen licenses worldwide. In
America, BUM has licenses for infant & toddler apparel,
men’s women’s and children’s footwear, hosiery,
luggage, watches, ophthalmic eyewear, handbags, backpacks, sunglasses,

L'egent International Inc. has signed a three year deal to represent
the Bum Equipment name for the category of Men's, Ladies and
Children's Sunglasses. L'egent is well known Accessory company
that has been in business for 16 years under the corporate banner
of Regal Bags Inc, which has been in business since 1928. Based
in New York and located at 10 West 33rd Street. L'egent has been
a leader in accessories with such well known brands as Mudd,
L'egent and Private Label, . This is their first venture into
licensed Sunglasses but L'egent enjoys wonderful relations with
all major retailers including JC Penney, Kohl's, Sears Charming
Shops, Claire's and many many more chains . Bum Sunglasses

ROI Renews contract with BUM for three more
Ladies and Gentlemen: We are so pleased to announce that one

for yet another three years. ROI and BUM date back to 1997 when ROI came

New License for Handbags for Ladies and

has just signed on as our newest Licensee for Ladies and Children's

Far East Business Plan.

with Global Brands Group to develop and maintain a complete Licensing

Monarch Luggage Renews License for 4 more years
Monarch Designs- Monarch Luggage/ Bay Travelgear
Inc. has renewed their license for two more terms. Monarch has
been a licensee of Bum Equipment since our inception dating back
to December 1997. This will bring Monarch into their second decade
as a successful and growing licensee of Bum. Richard Rubin has
taken over the reigns as their CEO and we wish both him and Monarch
continued success. Monarch has successfully launched new programs
of Luggage and Sport Bags at Academy Sporting Goods Stores and

Newest Top 100 WWD List includes BUM again + Hippest
We are very pleased to announce that Women's Wear Daily has just
completed their Top 100 Trademarks Recognition List and once again
we are in the top 100 number 86 . Even of more interest is the
new companies we are held in comparison to for the most important
Teen Market where we are named number 9 with Guess, American Eagle,
Abercrombie & Fitch, Limited and Limited Too and Esprit. Great

Christina America signs license for BUM Equipment
June 23, 2005 (New York, NY) --- Stephen Wayne Chairman Bum Equipment
LLC & SOS Management is pleased to announce today the signing
of a new license for Ladies and Girls Swimwear for the United
States with Christina America. Mr. John Lewis, President was quoted
as saying " This is a piece of branded distribution we do
not have as yet and fits in perfectly with our other brands we
own and license here in the United States. Christina has the license
for womens swim for XOXO, Skechers and is a division of SEA which
owns and operates the Gottex brand throughout the world. Wayne
was quoted as saying that ” This completes our product assortment
for Spring Market 2006. We may add additonal products for next
season but we now have the main bases covered with some of the
most well known makers and companies which will serve us well
for years and years to come. It's great to have such a fine team."
Today, Bum Equipment boasts sales in excess of $600 million at
retail per year. It has generated over $1.5 billion at cost over
the past 5 years in the United States alone. Last year Bum was
selected as the 69th most recognized trademark in the most recent
July WWD Top 100 Brands Survey done by the NPD Group. In the same

DEBUTS NEW RETRO AD CAMPAIGN FOR 2005

Jan. 14, 2005 (New York, NY) --- Stephen Wayne, Chairman, and
Steve Marra, Vice Chairman, of Bum Equipment & SOS Management
are proud to announce the debut of the newest BUM EQUIPMENT 2005
ad campaign. This is the first Ad Campaign launched since Wayne
and Marra purchased the brand back in December 2002.
The campaign will consist of approximately $1million in print
media. The Bum brand which was founded in 1986 in a garage in
Seattle, returns to its roots. The 2005 Bum Equipment campaign
takes on a theme of modern people in retro scenes. According to
Wayne, "We chose a retro look for our campaign because of
the resurgence of fashion today in 80's brands and looks . It
was a perfect fit because we are in fact a 80's retro brand ourselves."
The nostalgic look of the ads is a great way to capture the attention
of both the original Bum customers who can reminisce and the new
and future customers who can have fun with the retro feel of the
brand. After all, what's old is new again!
BUM EQUIPMENT, a brand licensed in all categories worldwide,
created a campaign that consists of 15 ads featuring a mix of
Men's, Women's, Children's Apparel and Accessories. The title
of the campaign is "Things you miss". It features things
and activities that you wish you could have or do again like roller
skating, drive-ins, drive-thru restaurants, boardwalks, carnival,
bowling, soda shops, sock hops etc... Some of the headlines for
the ads are: Don't ya miss the carnival?, Don't ya miss soda shops?,
Don't ya miss curb service?, The casual retro feeling sweatshirts,
knit tops and bottoms along with all other Bum apparel and accessories
are showcased in the ads. "The result is a retro feeling
with a fresh modern twist." said Marra.
The campaign was conceived and produced by Jim Hancock Productions
based in Atlanta, Ga and Bum Equipment In-house Advertising headquartered
in Hilton Head South Carolina. The photo shoot was shot by Jim
Hancock, a photographer, filmmaker and digital animator with 19
years experience behind the lens and computer. Hancock's work
is featured in numerous ads and editorials for fashion and beauty
on magazines shelves nationwide such (i.e. Cosmopolitan, Harpers
Bazaar, Playboy, InStyle, Men's Health, Elle, Time, Newsweek,
Us, Penthouse, Lucky, Seventeen, Maxim, Martha Stewart's Kids,
The campaign was shot with a mixture of professional models and
real people.Some of the talent featured in the ads are kids of
Bum Equipment employees mixed in with many professional models
from all over the country. In fact Wayne's household serves as
a personal test market for the Bum brand with 5 kids ranging in
age from toddler to teens. A combination of local and national
models were used for the shoot.
In addition to the retro activities like bowling and roller skating
featured in the ads, vintage cars, trucks and motor cycles were
a centerpiece for the ads titled "Full Service" and
"4 On The Floor" to appear first this month. At the
current 2005 Auto Show in Detroit, vintage cars were coined as
one of the hottest current trends for design. Bum rides this retro
trend right into their 2005 campaign.
The media buy is diverse to cover all of the licensed categories
of Bum Equipment. The BUM 2005 ads will launch in the first edition
of American Idol The Magazine coming out this month and will be
advertised on the American Idol TV Show kicking off its new season
on January 18. Bum Equipment is one of the sponsors of the new
magazine and will have a premium position on page 8. Also, every
American Idol viewer that either text messages or emails their
vote for the contestants will receive info on the new magazine
that features Bum's first 2005 ad titled "Full Service".
The Bum ads will run in other teen related and fashion magazines
throughout the year including Seventeen, Cosmo, Cosmo Girl, Elle,
Elle Girls, Lucky, Marie Claire, YM, Vibe, etc...
New for 2005, the Bum ads will appear in Speed World which is
geared towards the NASCAR fans. NASCAR enthusiasts are a very
large audience that recognize the Bum brand as one of the predominant
lifestyle brands in America. Bum will also be featured in several
parenting magazines this year to help introduce their newest license
for Childrenswear, Heyman Corporation that was recently added
to the current roster of Licensees for Fall 2005. The campaign
will also run in trade magazines such as Discount Store News,
License, WWD and DNR.

New Ad Campaign For Spring 2005
We are busy putting our finishing touches on our Newest Ad Campaign
for 2005. We will be sharing them with you either early next week
or later next week but they are really AWESOME. We have decided
on some new publications to add to our already existing circulations.
This Spring we will include Speed World Magazine which will be
running in their next issue plus we get a Premium Top Banner Advertisement
each month for 12 months. This will attract the very large and
prominent NASCAR Enthusiasts and put us in front of a great and
very large audience that recognizes BUM as one of the predominant
Lifestyle Brands in America. Remember we have ranked way up there
now each and every year in the top 100 Brands as sanctioned by
Womens Wear Daily and that was last published in July 2004. Also
we have been recognized as the # 5 Hip Contemporary Brand again
appearing in the December Womens Wear Top Lists of the Year Issue.
We have also added a fantastic new Magazine that promises to be
revolutionary. American Idol the World Renown Television Hit Show
will be launching their own magazine to coordinate with their

CosmoGIRL! is partnering with Loews to host free movie screenings
of "Wicker Park", a romantic thriller starring Josh
Hartnett. In order to coincide with the September issue, the screenings
will take place on September 1st and 2nd at Loews theaters in
12-13 top markets across the country. 250 readers
are expected to attend each event and will be treated to gift
bags, prizes and more. BUM Equipment will receive logo exposure

SIGNS FOOTWEAR DEAL WITH BROWN SHOE
March 23, 2004 (New York, NY) --- Stephen Wayne, Chairman of
BUM EQUIPMENT & SOS Management is pleased to announce the
signing of Brown Shoe Company as the exclusive footwear licensee
for Bum Equipment in the U.S. for men’s, women’s,
and children’s shoes. Brown Shoe is a $1.8 billion footwear
company with worldwide operations. Brown Shoe, through its Wholesale
divisions, owns and markets leading footwear brands including
Naturalizer, LifeStride, Connie, Buster Brown; it also markets
licensed brands including Dr. Scholl's, Bass and Carlos by Carlos
Santana for adults, and Barbie, Supergirl, Superman, Spider-Man2
and Bob-the-Builder character footwear for children. Brown Shoe
now adds Bum Equipment to its family of licensed brands.
“Brown Shoe is excited about the opportunity to launch a
line under the well known B.U.M. label. We plan to capitalize

Gentlemen: First of all Happy Holidays to you all from everyone
here at Bum Equipment LLC . We hope all is well with each and
every one of you. We have not sent you any updated information
since the fall. We are again proud to be acknowledged and rewarded
with being selected by Women's Wear Daily in their 1st and most
important "Book of Lists." Bum Equipment was recognized
as the 5th most familiar brand by Women in the area of Contemporary
Fashion. The list only lists the top 10 and was polled by Tarreytown,
NY based Synovate and were commissioned by WWD to do this survey
as to Women and their familiarity with all Brands. We were selected
# 5 this time behind Disney, Guess, Espirit, and Looney Tunes
(although they ranked ahead of us by only. 02%). We were selected
ahead of such great names as Ocean Pacific, Express, Mossimo,
Hang Ten and Fubu. Great company and great job to all of you.
You will also find our latest BUM ad in this Issue. We hope those
of you who followed the Baseball Playoffs and World Series caught
our ads that appeared in the Official Programs for all those events.
Finally, last Friday we signed our first major License for the
Middle East and are hopeful to get this rolled out early next
year 2004 with subsequent other rollouts in Syria, Saudi Arabia,
Kuwait, Tunisia and Morocco. Anyway we would like to take this
time to wish all of you and your families all the best at this
special time of the Year and we would like to take the opportunity
to wish everyone a Happy, Healthy, Prosperous and let's all hope
for a Peaceful Holiday and New Year.
